Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board (BPERB)

The Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board was established in 2001 to develop the engineering profession in Bangladesh. Its main objective is to set and maintain a high standard of professional competence in engineering. To meet that end, the Board has established the core objectives and standards which are to be achieved by engineers wishing to be registered as Professional Engineers. Applicants are assessed for registration against these standards, and successful candidates are conferred the designation Professional Engineer – PEng. Their names are entered into a register of Professional Engineers maintained by the Board.

The BPERB was created by an amendment of the constitution of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh and exists as an autonomous body with a Chairman and Board consisting of both engineers and other non-engineering professionals.
