Renewal of PEng

BPERB is a provisional member of the International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA) of the International Engineers Alliance (IEA). Hopefully BPERB is going to be a member of the IPEA. To meet the requirements and international standards, BPERB is going to upload the up-to-date list of Professional Engineers (PEng) registered with it. This is also a requirement of IPEA that a current list of PEng should be made public so that the concerned agencies can check and verify any claim from an authentic source.

According to records, renewal fees of PEng Registration of most of the PEng registered with BPERB have not been paid for quite some time. If anyone wants to maintain his/her name in the PEng list on BPERB website, s/he should ensure that his/her dues are all clear up to 2025 within 31 August 2025. To know your dues outstanding, please call 01806 999 900 (one of the 3 sim) or email to bperb.ieb@gmail.com and registrar@bperb.org.

Payments can be made in 3 ways:

  1. Through BPERB Nagad Merchant Account (no. 01806 999 900)
  2. Bank transfer (Account no. 014213100000191, Routing no. 140261370, Account name: BPERB, Mercantile Bank PLC, Engineers Institution Branch, Dhaka)
  3. Through cash payment at BPERB office

Please send the screenshot of payment slip to bperb.ieb@gmail.com and registrar@bperb.org

According to IPEA, a Professional Engineer also needs to maintain continuing professional development (CPD) activities of 50 hours each year. Accordingly, a PEng should submit CPD (along with certificates/letters) during payment of PEng renewal fees as a proof of his/her engagements in engineering profession. CPDs claimed can be sent by email at bperb.ieb@gmail.com and registrar@bperb.org with proofs as attachments.

Please note that the Peng holders will get priority in registration process of RAJUK and other authorities.

Thank you,
Registrar, BPERB

Current registrants

Congratulations on achieving and maintaining professional registration. You’ve earned the right to call yourself a professional engineer or technician, but are you making the most of your title?

The PEng title you have gained reflects your standing as a professionally registered engineer. It assures your employer, colleagues, customers and society that you meet the internationally recognized standards of competence and commitment relevant to your field.

Using your post-nominal letters wherever appropriate, eg on business cards or email signatures, is demonstration of your professional status. This will help you stand apart from non-registered engineers and technicians. You can also make use of the registrant logo, which is available to download here.

The BPERB works closely with international partners to ensure that the standards in Bangladesh are globally recognized. This helps to facilitate the international mobility of registrants. More information can be found in our international activities section.

By becoming professionally registered you have made a commitment to maintaining your competence, through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). As a member of a licensed professional engineering institution, you will have access to life-long learning and CPD opportunities.

You will also have committed to observe your Institution’s Code of Conduct. In addition, the BPERB provides guidance for registrants on sustainability, risk and ethical principles. If you are not already familiar with this information please do take time to do this.

As an Institution member you should be offered event invitations, up-to-date news and journals, and website access to members only content. So do remember to let your Institution know if any of your contact details change. You are encouraged to contribute to and support the work of your institution. The profession relies heavily on the considerable volunteer effort and other resources that registrants can bring to bear on current issues.
